Hello, I'm
Aerospace Engineer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of aviation, propulsion, and space systems. Transforming complex physics into engineered flight realities.
I'm Ahmed Hesham Mohamed, an Aerospace Engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. With deep expertise in aerodynamics, flight dynamics, and propulsion systems, I design and analyse complex air and space vehicles that operate at the frontier of human engineering.
I graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, achieving top honours in my cohort. My academic foundation spans thermodynamics, structural mechanics, orbital mechanics, and computational fluid dynamics.
Experienced in cutting-edge simulation tools like ANSYS Fluent, MATLAB/Simulink, and OpenFOAM, I bridge the gap between theoretical aerospace science and real-world engineering solutions. Fluent in Arabic & English, I collaborate effectively on international research and industry projects.

Egyptian Space Agency · Cairo, Egypt
Led the aerodynamic design and simulation of sub-orbital sounding rocket systems. Conducted high-fidelity CFD analyses using ANSYS Fluent to optimise nose-cone geometries and fin configurations for minimum drag and maximum stability. Collaborated with propulsion and structures teams to achieve integrated vehicle performance targets.
Cairo University Aerospace Lab · Giza, Egypt
Designed and experimentally validated a fixed-wing UAV platform for atmospheric data collection. Developed full 6-DOF flight dynamics models in MATLAB/Simulink, implemented PID autopilot controllers, and conducted wind-tunnel testing to correlate computational predictions. Achieved 98% stability under target flight envelope conditions.
Arab Organisation for Industrialisation · Cairo, Egypt
Supported the turbofan engine maintenance and performance evaluation programme. Analysed engine cycle data, conducted thermodynamic performance calculations, and assisted in developing component health-monitoring dashboards using Python. Gained hands-on experience with turbine blade inspection and overhaul procedures.

Graduated with Distinction (Excellent with Honours), ranking among the top 5% of the Aerospace Engineering cohort. Four-year programme encompassing aerodynamics, flight mechanics, propulsion, structural analysis, control systems, orbital mechanics, and aircraft design. Completed a graduation project on Supersonic Intake Design for a combat aircraft application.
Designed and validated a 3.2m wingspan fixed-wing UAV from concept through wind-tunnel testing. CFD-optimised aerofoil selection achieved L/D ratio of 22:1 at cruise. Full 6-DOF flight simulation implemented in MATLAB/Simulink with autonomous waypoint navigation capability.
Graduation project: high-fidelity RANS simulation of an axisymmetric supersonic inlet at Mach 2.0 cruise. Analysed shock-wave/boundary-layer interactions, total pressure recovery, and mass-flow ratio across the operating envelope. Results validated against published experimental data with under 3% deviation.
Designed and simulated a 3U CubeSat attitude determination and control system (ADCS) using reaction wheels and magnetorquers. Developed quaternion-based attitude estimator (EKF) and LQR controller achieving 0.1° pointing accuracy. Verified with hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
From hypersonic aerodynamics to rotorcraft design — a broad portfolio spanning research, simulation, and real-world aerospace applications.
